  7.     Starring in her own comedy series, Dr. Ruth Westheimer
  8. thought, was "crazy." But the dynamic Dr. Ruth, 61, known for
  9. dispensing sex advice on the airwaves, was won over by a script
  10. making her a college psychology professor. She imposed one
  11. condition: that she have a "romantic interest." For a scene in
  12. the first episode, to air on ABC this fall, she was ready to
  13. pretend to smooch. "I know how to fake," she admits, but when
  14. asked to pucker up for the real thing, "I was embarrassed. The
  15. whole world is going to watch me kiss. But I do like it."
